Who are the Brickfilms staff?

Josh the Reverend Menacer Leasure - Site Admin

In June of 2003 RevMen officially took control of the site from Jason, its founder. He lives in West Los Angeles and works in Santa Monica as an acoustical engineer.

Stefan van Zwam - Site Programmer

Stefan's interests led him to computers and programming quite early in life, so a future in computer science seemed inevitable. But the paths of fortune are twisted, and you never know what's waiting around the corner.

One of these twists brought him into the world of mathematics, a subject that he is now studying. It takes a good deal of time and energy, but it's worth it.

Another twist brought him to the most unlikely hobby imaginable. Strangely, though, it wasn't as unlikely as he imagined it would be. Quite soon it appeared that there was an active, ever growing, community sharing the joy of making little yellow men move on screen. His films were received well here, and the second film he made, together with his brother, was even awarded the prize of "best film" in the first ever Brickfilms contest: the Classical Music Contest. After that, he's been producing 1 or 2 films each year, and intends to continue that for a long time!

Zach Stanley (Z) - Senior Programmer/Graphics

Zach began work here on a new theme for the forums knowing almost zero PHP and absolutely nothing of CSS. From that starting point, he somehow worked up the ladder to becoming one of the site's graphic designers and programmers. The Z may often - in his rumored free time - be found on his computer, either coding or doing graphics. Usually though, you'll have better luck finding him buried in his studies. He also tries to stay up-to-date with all the latest technological breakthroughs on that planet we call Earth.

When Zach's not "geeking out", he's usually recording music with his band. He enjoys pounding out tunes on the piano and releasing his heart by means of his guitar. He's done plenty of Brickfilms, but has only released two or three.

Zach Macias (MindGame) - Minister of Sound / Review Panel

Whoa, I have my own staff page? SUUUUHHWEET!

Jonathan Schlaepfer (Schlaeps) - Site Administrator

On the morn' of November 12th, 2007...RevMen relinquished his position as the King of Brickfilms. Shortly after, Schlaeps became the new and benevolent ruler.

When he is not overseeing his kingdom, he enjoys programming, video productions, traveling, and all things Mac, and can frequently be found volunteering on the Steve Jobs presidential campaign.

Schlaeps rules the kingdom of Brickfilms.com from the fair city of Santa Cruz, CA, and vacations at his castle in Washington, D.C.

Right now he's taking a break from brickfilming.

richardfrost - Ex Minister of Discussion and Minister of Film Contests

I am rstudios' Dad. Go watch all his films....now! Why are you still reading this? I am an ex-staff member.

Brendan Henry (Ladon) - Review Panel / Ex Minister of Film Ratings

He's been an active member of the Brickfilms.com community since 2004, and in that time he's made quite a number of films. Currently going platiunum. He was totally the Minister of Film Review until his toy programmer left, and he followed. He's currently editing you posts!

Lechnology - Review Panel/Minister of Community Projects

Average Asian by day, Chinese kung fu master by night, drunk on Thursdays. When this socially awkward Library employee isn't hanging out with his dark and emo crowd, he can be found at home, commanding an army of animators, coordinating CGI scenes, pointing out the flaws in all things special in special effects, and stalking his myspace friends. All this to compensate for his shortcomings.

Watson - Reviewer / Minister of Film Contests

Burly Canadian lumberjack Watson works in the seal hunting and igloo building business. In his spare time, he's managed to create a film and a few other false starts.

So fearsome was Watson's campaign for Minister of Film Rating, that no other person was courageous enough to challenge him. Rivaling Lincoln himself in his campaigning skills (and miles ahead of him in with his mad coding skillz [I'll get you next time, Minister of Film Resources!]), Watson now has his rightful place in the Brickfilms 'About' page.

Note: No relation to Henry Kissinger.
