| A while ago in the Discussion Forum there was a great filmmaking idea.
The idea was to have several directors work on one short film. Each
director would film a one minute clip based upon (or totally disregarding)
the previous director's effort. Think of an independent film version
of the classic game played around campfires when you were a kid.
This would allow different director's styles to be seen in one work.
The storylines would meld together somewhat, but could be completely independent
of each other. An exciting experimental form of digital film that
can only exist in our information age.
It was a great idea, but poorly executed. The only thing that
really needs to be done is to organize and coordinate the collective efforts
of all the directors. That is the purpose of this page.
Below is a list of all the director's involved in the Brickfilms Director's
Project. Each film will be four minutes long. Each director
can only submit a one minute clip. Therefore each film has four directors.
Each group will collectively come up with a title for the films when they
are complete. Each director has exactly two weeks to complete work
on his or her clip. If you miss your deadline, your spot goes to
the next director on the list. A "pool" of directors who want to
participate will be listed at the bottom of this page. Once the pool
is four directors, a new film project will be started.
In order to be on this project, you must have:
1. A valid email address
2. A place to store your films (i.e. a url with your film on it)
I would also like your real first and last name (or a nome de plume)
so we can give you the proper credit. Please also email me the link
to your completed film.
