A very short film or animation. They may be screen tests, concept ideas, or quick sketches. Usually nonsensical with no background, story or real characters. Fun to watch anyway.

Nice explosions, a good sense of pacing and cuts to fire up the action, and some interesting camera work.

	Title: Taxi Approx Size: 5.56 MB Approx Length: 0:58 Format: .mpeg Director: Mark Wanninger Date Added: March 10, 2002 Description: This is a short movie about an impatient guy waiting for a taxi. Watch the motorcycle speed by on the opposite road-very nice animation. The impatient man has many faces and you can see them as the animation goes on. There are thirty seconds of credits at the end that might need to be chopped off. An enjoyable yet quick movie.
	Title: TV Approx Size: 2.63 MB Approx Length: 37 sec Format: .mpeg Director: Nate Regnier-Lange Date Added: March 10, 2002 Description: There are many quickies on this page, but the only one that could be included in the directory is TV. It takes the basic concept of a television show today, and shows how dumb TV really is. All of the other quickies are screen tests and fall between 4 and 7 seconds.
	Title: GTA – scene 70 Approx Size: 4.7 MB Approx Length: 0:59 Format: .avi Director: Patryk Wawer Date Added: March 10, 2002 Description: All of you Grand Theft Auto fans, here is the first scene from the upcoming brickfilm. What is interesting about this piece is the lack of brick. The sets are made out of folded up paper and used to good advantage. The couch looks good, as well the stove in the background. Basically, this is a gunfight in a small apartment. In the finished film, there will be more violence and car jacking. This is a good first scene with no dialogue-just tension and action.

	Title: Jedi Defense, Imperial March Approx Length: 2.39MB, 6.09MB Approx Size: 17 sec ,25 sec Format: .avi, .mpeg Director: Frank McKeever Description: These are more screentests with various Star Wars minifigs and sets. When downloading, please click on either IM, or JD as these are the movie files.
	Title: Pirates Approx Size: 2.64 MB Approx Length: 19 sec Format: .wmv Director: Bob Bongo Date Added: February 11, 2002 Description: This is a wonderful screentest done with Pirates. There's a sword fight, the walking dead, and a cannon special effect in this quickie.
	Title: Various Shorts Approx Length: 10-30 sec. Approx Size: varies Format: .mov, .mpeg Director: Mike Yacullo Description: There is a small offering of quickies here. You can see a quick sword fight or a skeleton get shot. We recommend The Animator, as it shows one of the many frustrations of stop motion animation. A nice little variety of screentests.
	Title: Lego McDonald's Approx Size: 1.31 MB Approx Length: 1:00 Format: .avi in a .zip Director: "Stu" Description: Have you ever wondered what's in McDonald's food? This short has funny dialogue and sound effects- all from one person. The clay monster appears glob by glob like the blob and is nicely rendered. A choice lego short melding clay and legos.
	Title: Star Wars Episode IV Lego Version Teaser Approx Size: 8.51 MB Approx Length: 35 sec Format: .mpeg Director: Frank McKeever Description: This quick glimpse at Star Wars Episode IV Lego Version is exactly that: quick. There are a lot of fast scenes dashing across the camera. This movie looks good (so far) and we can only wait for its arrival. The size of the film is a bit hefty for 35 seconds.
	Title: Darth Vader, Jedi Duel Approx Size: 1.47 MB Approx Length: 11, 18 sec Format: .avi Director: F J Mckeever Description: These are just two small test clips. Jedi Duel is a quick saber fight, and Darth Vader having trouble opening a door.
	Title: CyberSlam Approx Size: 3.71 MB Approx Length: 51 sec Format: .mpg Director: Michael Bowman Description: In the future, I can see fights looking like this. Humans controlling droids equipped to kill each other. Though the film is a little grainy, there's a nice camera angle from the battering ram appliance. The camera follows the ram (think Strangelove). The minifigs in the crowd bouncing up and down in anticipation is nicely done. The sound effects are right on with the pull and release of the rams. This short ends abruptly though, I was expecting the fight to go another couple of rounds.
	Title: Battle of the Aliens Approx Size: 338 KB Approx Length: 43 sec Format: .wmv Directors: JesusFreak1181 and Lego_Boy Description: Using a bunch of editing software and Lego Cad, these two have made an exciting, yet quick movie. There is a lot of action going on screen and the camera zooms around at all times. There is a nice explosion in the middle of the screen toward the end of the short. The see-through minifig is awesome
	Title: The Duel Approx Size: 4.12 MB Approx Length: 17 sec Format: .avi Director: Steve Barker Description: Another lightsaber fight, this time with a little help from the triassic period.
	Title: The Job Approx Size: 2.5 MB Approx Length: 58 sec Format: .avi in a .zip Director: Aaron Puzey Description: It's funny how a lot of the movies portray a robber in the land of plastic bricks. This movie has one variant: there are no minifigs whatsoever. This reminds us of a roadrunner cartoon with its slapstick humor and cliché sound effects.
	Title: On Safari, On the Beat, Various Approx Size: 193K-837K Approx Length: up to 30 sec. Format: .mov Directors: Peter Smiley and Elijah Frown Description: Six quick screen tests showing off various stunts. Cars assembling on their own, great balls wreaking havoc, ships floating. In the future, we hope to see the longer movie these two are working on. There are some pictures of the upcoming movie on the bottom of the page.
	Title: Mindin' My Business Approx Size: 848KB Approx Length: 21 sec Format: .avi in a .zip Director: Russ Jensen Description: A technic figure has a run-in with a hand.
	Title: The Blob Approx Size: 1.29 MB Approx Length: 10 sec Format: .avi Director: Gundam Nataku Description: Things to do today: Hatch, Feed, Mutate. Ten seconds in the life of a blob.
	Title: Trash Day Approx Size: 3.9 MB Approx Length: 53 sec Format: .mpg Director: Tom Culpepper Description: A droid with feelings falls for the wrong girl… Careful animation makes this "silent" movie work. Good use of body gesticulations to show emotion. I put silent in quotes because some of the scenes have live background noise, which will catch you off guard if your speakers are turned up loud. A very, very cute little Quickie.
	Title: Brickfilms Director's Project - Group 2, Part 3 Approx Size: 4 MB Approx Length: 59 sec Format: .rm Director: Jason Rowoldt Description: The Director's Project is a way for various filmmakers to assemble their styles into one movie. This particular clip is the 3rd of 4 in our group. In this installment, I take up the action a notch and throw tanks, mechs, and even Sean Connery into the mix.

	Title: Lego Weapon 4, Grave Digger, etc. Approx Size: 291K-1.77MB Approx Length: 2 sec – 25 sec Format: .mpeg Director: HomeyMoore Description: This site has some funny stuff packed into little bite sized brick pieces. Most of these are screen tests, like R2-D2 rolling across the screen. Lego Weapon 4 takes the first five minutes of its counterpart and does them justice. Murtaugh: “But what if he shoots at me?” Riggs: “I’m willing to take that chance.”
	Title: Imperial Day Off Approx Length: 25 sec Approx Size: 2 MB Format: .avi in a .zip Director: Mike Lewis Description: The only day in the whole year in which the Imperial Forces actually get to kick back and relax. These guys apparently decided to spend part of their day taping themselves messing around. Basically a short, well done minifig dance.
	Title: The Robber!, A Lego Short, Another Lego Short Approx Size: 3.13 MB- 4.80 MB Approx Length: About a minute each Format: .mpeg Directors: Doug Green and Jason Benjamin Description: This site has three quickies on it, ranging from a rampaging T-rex looking for its baby, a suicidal bridge jumper, and of all things - a robber sequence.
	Title: Scenes from Mission: Impensable Approx Length: 20 sec. and longer, various Approx Size: 124K-868K Format: .mpi , .rm Director: Mandysia Description: This is a nice taste of what’s to come from a French director. Parodying almost everything of popularculture today, Mandysia Films has a sure fire hit. The trailer mimics well what most companies spend large amounts of money on. Words fill the screen, then mounting tension, then another word-more mounting tension. You get the idea. The rest are clips or screen tests and are good in their own aspect. Beware of the download times. MF resides in France and it took me a half hour to download the trailer on a LAN.
	Title: Jar Jar Binks and the French Revolution Approx Length: 56 sec. Approx Size: 885 KB or 10 MB Format: Quicktime .mov Director: Marc Atkin [Read an interview with this director] Description: Jar Jar Binks gets what he so rightly deserves. Very clear and nicely animated. This is a bit more involved than a simple screen test and worth the download.
	Title: The Wire Approx Length: 14 sec. Approx Size: 789K Format: .mpg in a .zip Director: Simon Cooper Description: A very short action sequence between two minifigs.
	Title: Behind the Scenes 2 Approx Length: 42 sec. Approx Size: 9.65 MB Format: Quicktime .mov Director: Dave Amos Description: A short meeting with Pat M. Crotch on the set of the upcoming movie “Jesus Freak.” Funny dialogue and back up dancers.
	Title: Al the Delivery Man: Scene 1 Approx Length: 59 sec. Approx Size: 623 KB Format: .rm Director: Seth Rothkin Description: Who would deliver a case full of explosives? This is the first movie to use the garbage can for what it was made for. Nice use of light in the interrogation scene.
	Title: Behind the Scenes Approx Length: 28 sec Approx Size: 6.58 MB Format: .avi Director: Dave Amos Description: A really quick meeting with Rasputin von Hitler from an upcoming movie. Watch beyond them as the real animation goes on in the background.
	Title: Lego War Approx Length: 20 sec. Approx Size: 2.3 MB Format: .avi Director: Thomas Foote Description: A space minifig kicks some Blacktron ass. One of Thomas Foote's first, who is one of the oldest (and by that, I mean, longest in the hobby, heh heh) LEGO animators out there. Very short but you get to see how lasers can be made out of just trans-red bricks, not computer special effects.

At the end, the director turns the camera to his face and you can see how the set was made.
	Title: Saber Oops! Approx Length: 8 sec. Approx Size: 600 KB Format: .avi Director: Russ Jensen Description: I'll give you one guess as to what the Oops! is. Nonetheless, a very short movie but amusing. Give this page a look over, as there are a few more shorts by this director.
	Title: People, The Blocks, etc. Approx Length: 30 sec. Approx Size: 3 MB Format: .avi Director: Erik Coleman Description: Here is a link to several quick animations. You can probably skip the first few, as they are 40 seconds of titles with 3 seconds of action. But the last two, titled above, show some interesting things you can do with bricks, such as walls and people that build themselves.

Approx Size: 1 MB Format: .rm Director: A team of guys in Iceland Description: I don't speak Icelandic, so I'm not sure what the final project is about. It looks fairly big though, and from the clip, they are doing a bit of post-production effects.
	Title: Cemetary Approx Length: 45 sec. Approx Size: 3.3 MB Format: .mpg Director: Jason Statham Description: Ahh, necrophilia. An inspired little piece featuring, among other things, oral sex from a skeleton. At least, that's how I interpreted this scene. Featuring a catchy little ditty about digging up corpses by The Headstones.
	Title: True Lies Approx Length: 45 sec. Approx Size: 3.3 MB Format: .avi Director: CJ Doss Description: Interesting scenes from the Ahh-nold movie "True Lies", rendered in LEGO. If you have not seen the movie, this will not make sense at all. But if you have, notice the transitions based on the main characters from one scene of the movie to the next. An nice experiment.

	Title: Oil Rig: The Movies Approx Length: 30 sec or less Approx Size: 500 K Format: .mpg Director: Chip Worker Description: Several clips of special effects centered around an Oil Rig. This is a work in progress, and might result in a longer work with an actual story. In the meantime, enjoy the explosions! Clips are nice and small, but clear, just the way we like 'em.
	Title: OCAP Entertainment Films Approx Length: From 15 sec. to 2 min. Approx Size: 1 MB to 20 MB Format: .avi Director: Ocap Entertainment Description: Several movies are listed on this site. From the main page, go to LEGO Movies. These range from the very short to a little longer. Most impressive are that this group has made 16 movies already! Most of these are fairly jerky animation without much story, but it is nice to see so many in one place, and you can always learn little tricks from something new. Check out "UFO" for some nice title effects.
	Title: Train Wreck Approx Length: 59 sec. Approx Size: Quicktime streaming Format: .mov (Quicktime) Director: David Clough Description: Man, who doesn't love the cool destruction of a train wreck? We see a great one here with cool shots of the destruction from inside and outside of the cars. Worth a look.
	Title: Crash Ryan Trailer Approx Length: 30 sec. Approx Size: 3.5 MB Format: .mov (Quicktime) Director: James Dilbeck Description: A Star Wars themed quickie, this clip has some cool looking special effects. This is supposed to be a trailer for a longer movie, and I hope we get to see more soon.
	Title: Kill Your Speed Approx Length: 15 sec Approx Size: 832 KB Format: .mpg in a .zip Director: s Lord Description: Quick and fun. The music in the beginning is nice, it sets the zany antics. The tire screeches are great,but you might be telling yourself the movie is a little too short and the animation a bit jumpy. Everything happens so quickly-I wanted more.
