Almost any longer work is
in this catagory. It takes a huge amount of effort to make any
animation over 5 minutes long. Almost everything in this
catagory has been scripted and storyboarded. In this category, you
can see real stories starting to develop. Every movie below took
a lot of effort and can be watched and admired.

Title: Out of Time
Approx Length: 5:24
Approx Size: 8.9 Mb
Format: .rm
Director: Buxton
Date Added: February 17, 2003
Description: Buxton's first film and entry for the BricksWest 2003 Comedy Comp, and what a fantastic film it is too. Looks like Bluntman has some stiff competition in the 'two guys having adventures' genre. This film is not only carefully filmed, wonderfully animated (watch that walk dolly, then again, then AGAIN), is geekily brick and brickfilm referential, has excellent sets, and to top it all off is side splittingly funny too! I'm not kidding. It is one thing to get one of these things right with your first film, but all of them?!?! I really don't want to spoil any more of the plot, so go and watch it. Then watch it a few more times and pick up the stuff you missed first time around. An instant classic.

Title: Paco's Wide World of Sports
Approx Length: 5:01
Approx Size: 12.4 Mb
Format: .rm
Director: Brian of OCAP
Date Added: February 17, 2003
Description: This is the best film yet to come out of the OCAP studios, and it is an original concept for a brickfilm too: a sports commentary show. Great picture quality, nice animation (watch for the studio antics) and really funny! You'll need to watch the film a couple of times and know the brickfilms community quite well to get all of the jokes, but that is half the fun. The ice hockey is great, the ads funny, and the commentators have some priceless comments to make. The only major criticism I have is of the soundtrack, at times the same riff that plays over and over (and that can get frustrating) plays over the top of some dialogue, and funny dialogue at that, one of the strengths of this film. As with the rest of the BricksWest 2003 Comedy Comp entries, this film is a download must.

Title: Good Company: Redux
Approx Length: 13:00
Approx Size: 33.8 Mb
Format: .rm
Director: Nick Maniatis
Date Added: February 17, 2003
Description: Long time in the making, Good Company: Redux is the recut, re-edited version of Nick Maniatis' successful Horror Contest film Good Company. Entered in the BricksWest 2003 Animation Festival, Redux is an absorbing, chilling, at times confusing and disturbing film. There are substantial changes from the original version, including 3 more minutes of footage, and a completely reworked conclusion. This film includes dialogue collaboration from no less than 3 continents, excellent sets, cool customs (check out the Bike), stereo sound and careful use of foley. It isn't perfect though. Some of the scenes in the dark are too hard to see, this may be intentional, but it is still frustrating at times. There are a number of set and prop bumps that occur mid scene (the coffee mug) that can distract the viewer, and the pace may be too slow for some. To quote from the forums, "If there were one, just one movie in the entire directory that had a snowballs chance of getting accepted in a 'real' film festival, it's this one. There are others that might be good enough, but none that are anywhere weird enough." You be the judge.

Title: Star Wars Lego: The Adventures of Diavo & Joe, ep IV
Approx Length: 13:21
Approx Size: 21.6 Mb
Format: .wmv
Director: Joe Evangelista
Date Added: February 17, 2003
Description: Apart from being just a little too long this is a great film! It is set in the StarWars universe, but with very few StarWars themed figs, so the plot and situations do a lot of the work here. What makes this film stand above many in the StarWars genre is the plot. Yes, it has an ORIGINAL and quite detailed plot with some great StarWars jokes (lol at the death sticks!) Many of the effects are in camera (these effects often look best) and some of the battle scenes are spectacular (even though the frame rate is a bit low) because music is well selected, sound effects are excellent and the shots (through the Empire window, and the security cameras) and motion are well thought out. There are numerous things that could be improved upon, voice quality, camera quality, timing of some of the edits and improved framerate, but with such a detailed and immersive plot with emphasis on viewer immersion rather than effects, great sets with standard bricks, and excellent battle scenes, this film is a download must! Get it now.

Title: Attack of the Clone
Approx Length: 8:06
Approx Size: 19.6 Mb
Format: .rm
Director: CometGreen Productions
Date Added: February 17, 2003
Description: Yet another remake of the Jango Fett and Obi Wan sequence from StarWars Episode II! This certainly is a popular scene! Ok, so it isn't exactly a remake, and that is what makes this one so good. Great dialogue (just love the use of 'intertextual' dialogue... you'll see what I mean... kind of like 'The Rescue'), excellent cinematography, lovely cgi effects (rain, reflection mapping, sabres, lightning, etc, etc) and great sound. If I had to pick a problem I'd say there was too much chromakey used, which causes some weird colour glitching and detracts from that 'lost in the action' feeling. There are many small things to look and listen for in this film. Great work. Download it.

Title: Deserted
Approx Length: 5:00
Approx Size: 11.4 Mb
Format: .mov Quicktime
Director: Brad Paras
Date Added: February 17, 2003
Description: This film reminds me a lot of Toy Story, plot wise and through choice of animation medium, cgi, and that is a good thing! This film tracks the adventures of a minifig once he is 'deserted' by his owner in an 'interesting' location. All of the cgi animation is superimposed over live action footage of a house interior, and quite well too! There are some great jokes in this film, and the almost expected credit bloopers, thankfully most are funny too. Well worth the download.

Title: NightBreaker
Approx Length: 5:50
Approx Size: 28 Mb
Format: .avi divx
Director: Titan Pictures
Date Added: February 17, 2003
Description: I'll start with the warning... Parts of this film are intended for mature viewers only (language, sexual references and violence) , so be... er... warned! As per usual with Titan Pictures films, the rendered openings and picture quality are excellent, and the opening sequence of this film starts beautifully, and then it all starts going downhill. The naked and topless mini-fig looks completely ridiculous and it is the repetition of this sequence throughout the film as flashback that becomes frustrating. Possibly the fact that this film is based on a short film from 1998, 'Nachtbreker', is one of the reasons it seems so confusing. Some of the dialogue is atrocious as well, and at times does not make sense. Don't expect a great film if you choose to watch it, it isn't as interesting as SS-5 Moccasin was, in my opinion. On the positive side, there are some neat scenes (the night time driving shots and the totally still yet effective shot in the lift), and some of the subtle stereo audio effects are very effective.

Title: Brickanic
Approx Length: 8:09
Approx Size: 14.7 Mb
Format: .mov
Director: Gorillo Productions
Date Added: January 14, 2003
Description: An adventurous condensed version of the James Cameron movie, Titanic. Gorillo Productions have integrated audio from the film and set it to brick animation. There are some memorable scenes here, especially for fans of the feature film.

Title: A Christmas Carol In Bricks
Approx Length: 15:51
Approx Size: 17.4 Mb
Format: realmedia .rm
Director: Yellowhead Studios
Date Added: December 30, 2002
Description: This one has been in the works
for a while and here it is, a creation of the classic tale, 'A Christmas
Carol' but in Bricks! This film is worth every second of the download: excellent
sets, fantastic snow, innovative ghost effects (just HOW DID you do that?),
and a sound voice cast. The only things that let it down a a couple of small
sound problems and a very abrupt ending that seems to skim over some of the
most important parts of the tale. Never-the-less this is a film that well and
truly deserves viewing.

|
Title: Christmas With Bluntmation
Approx Length: 7:38
Approx Size: 18.9 Mb
Format: realmedia .rm
Director: Nate Burr
Date Added: December 30, 2002
Description: Steve, Dave and another bluntmation
fave return in this Christmas Special. The effects for the opening scene
with Steve and Dave are technically impressive (Yes, bluntman did film it
like that! You'll see what I mean...) and the Christmas themed show is played
upon very well. Some minor issues with sound in this one, but hey, you only
notice if you're being picky!

|
Title: Star Wars the Unknown
Approx Length: 6:07
Approx Size: 8.55 Mb
Format: .wmv
Director: Andreas Feix
Date Added: December 30, 2002
Description: Another StarWars themed film
for the collection here at Brickfilms! Andreas is quickly becoming a prolific
director around here. Some neat effects and a slightly different take on
the SW theme makes this one a little different from the rest.

Title: Germany vs Hungary
Approx Length: 10:23
Approx Size: 50Mb
Format: .avi DivX 5.02 (also available in
smaller versions
Director: Florian Plag
Date Added: November 7, 2002
Description: Coming from a football fan…
this is inspired film-making! A recreation of highlights from THE world cup
match between Hungary and Germany (a classic game) with what I ascertain
to be the original commentary (in German). Crowd waves, instant replays,
team celebrations, and great saves! Goooaaaaaaaaaal! A download must if you
like football, and a great example of using the Lego Football sets for animation,
even though it is a little large for its length.

Title: Egyptian Comedy
Approx Length: 8:22
Approx Size: 5:23Mb
Format: .wmv Windows Media
Director: Andreas Feix-AMS Productions
Date Added: November 7, 2002
Description: This film from AMS Productions
is certainly a comedy! The unusual plot of this film, combined with some
simple yet very clever animation (and rotoscoped mouth movement) result in
a very funny film from relatively new director, Andreas. Well worth the download
|
|
Title: Birds
Approx Length: 8:50
Approx Size: 14Mb
Format: .wmv Windows Media
Director: Andreas Feix-AMS Productions
Date Added: November 7, 2002
Description: AMS Productions's entry for
the ShootingBricks Horror Competition. A spooky film that places the emphasis
on story development rather than action. An excellent plot drives this film
to its inevitable conclusion... There is some great animation an effects
in this one, I particularly liked the cloud of birds.

Title: Good Company
Approx Length: 10:00
Approx Size: 26Mb
Format: .rm realmedia
Director: Brick-Tastic! Films (Nick Maniatis)

STORY, DID YOU HEAR THAT? AWARD BEST SOUND EFFECTS, WHERE THE HECK ARE WE?

Title: Blood of the Wolf
Approx Length: 8:56
Approx Size: 23Mb
Format: .rm realmedia
Director: Bluntman
Date Added: November 7, 2002
Description: Bluntman's highly entertaining
entry for the Shootinbricks Horror Competition. An original story, fantastic
sets, moody lighting and cool special effects (check out the 'wolf's' speed
blur) add yet another film to the Bluntman oeuvre. Longer and more serious
than any other Bluntman film, and as such reveals more of about this prolific
brickfilm director. If you have not seen this one yet, download it now!

Title: Legos are not enough
Approx Length: 17:16
Approx Size: Large
Format: various
Director: 4guys1brain
Date Added: September 29, 2002
Description: The first of two brilliant
'Bond' films from the award winning 4guys1brain team. The opening sequence
of this film is excellent, both derivative of the bond experience and a parody
of it (as is the whole film). This film is held together by careful dialogue,
movie intertextuality, excellent animation, great plot, Bond jokes, Bond
girls, Bond villians and... Bond. The only thing that holds this back is
the local knowledge required for some the humour (also kindly explained on
the website). Just download it!

Title: You only lego twice
Approx Length: 16:11
Approx Size: Large
Format: various
Director: 4guys1brain
Date Added: September 29, 2002
Description: The excellent follow up to
'Legos are not enough'. This stands above the first in many ways... original
music, self referential jokes, movie references (Crouching Tiger, 2001 and
many others) and it is heaps funnier than the first. Watch for the integration
of CGI bricks into the filmic word of double-oh-seven(something).

Title: TRaFoL (The Rise
and Fall of Lazarus)
Approx Length: 23:32
Approx Size: 59-127 Mb
Format: .avi (DivX)
Director: OCAP
Date Added: July 30, 2002
Description: A highly ambitious film (in
both length and scale) that documents the life of the main character, Lazarus.
Worth the watch for some good jokes, great use of music and interesting plot
development. Unfortunatley the spartan sets, repetitive animation and overly
lengthy and self indulgent credits (both at the
start and end of the film) detract from the film as a whole.
[Jason - What is to be said about TRaFoL? It's been hyped for months.
It is the biggest project OCAP has done to date. There is a great
thread about some of the reasons that it is not so hot
here
. But then again, you have to admire that OCAP tried to tell
a story. Simply put, it was their lack of editing that killed the appeal
for this film. This was a 5 minute film that takes up 24 minutes of
time. Maybe a "director's cut" would give us a better version of OCAP's
vision. Skip to around 4:00 to begin the film without the annoyingly narssistic
credits. I hate to give this a bad review because they worked so hard on it,
but if they pay close attention to the critisms in the forum, their patience
will pay off and we can all enjoy OCAP's next movie that much more.)

Title: Legoredo
Approx Length: 12:49
Approx Size: 8.7 MB
Format: .mpg
Director: James Hagewood, Tim McNutt, Bert
McMahan, Ryan Phillippie
Date Added: June 27, 2002
Description: Yee haw! A great western
with all the themes of a true spaghetti western from Hollywood of the 70s.
We have here the new guy in town, the villians by their fireside hideout
in the desert, and a town ambush. The shootout at the end is well
paced and quite funny (in its goriness). As with all good westerns,
this one ends with a showdown in the street between the sheriff and the outlaw.
Who will win? Do I detect the theme for the Good, the Bad, and
the Ugly? Notice the pivotal shot in any western staredown sequence,
the shot of the gun at the hip. I was looking for it, and bam! there
it was. There are some issues with poor image quality, and not much animation
(lots of still shots), but overall, a great bit of dialog, a nice quick story,
and some funny gunslinging.

Title: Brick Fiction
Approx Length: 5:57
Approx Size: 8 MB
Format: .wmv
Director: Oliver Baentsch
Date Added: June 11, 2002
Description: Great 'fro, huh? This
film-maker is German and his page is in German. Never fear for English
only speakers, the links are very obvious and the download straighforward.
A nicely done version of Tarantino's second directorial film, this
brick film has all the important scenes doen in plastic. Great scenes
include the "twist dancing" contest where the 'figs do the "two fingers over
the eyes" move everyone remembers Travolta doing, and the great effects for
the Marvin shootign scene. As a special note, the costumes in this film
are right on. From the afro on Jules to the mustache on the Wolf, from
the black suits to the Santa Cruz shirt Vincent has on later, everything looked
just as it should. As a final note, I'd like to know how the director
got a dark skinned minifig (I assume the hands and head are both painted).
It's about time LEGO came out with some skin tones other than yellow,
and this film is a case example why. Update: There is now an English
version available on their site.

Title: Mot Fad We
War
Approx Length: 5:41
Approx Size: 12.3 MB
Format: .avi (divx)
Director: Bluntman
Date Added: May 29, 2002
Description: Whoah! Another fun movie
starring the two comic book obsessed Aussies. Bluntman did a great
job on this one, from the sound effects to the custom pieces. I won't
ruin the plot, but it is another wacky, funny story with lots of dialog
and great voice acting. Bluntman is a great new force in the brick
animation community. Hail Bob!

|
Title: Toy Borgs
Approx Length: 15:00
Approx Size: 22 MB
Format: .mov
Director: Rod Kent
Date Added: May 29, 2002
Description: Wow! Great special
effects, great voice work, and great sound editing really make this movie
stand out. There is even a plot of sorts to attach you to the characters.
By the same director of Tube Wars, we see much of the same quality
of craftmanship from this director. This is absolutely a kids movie, but
a very high quaility, enjoyable romp. The action is kind of nonsensical,
but the extremely high sound effects quality makes up for it.

Title: Lego Wars
Episode I
Approx Length: 8:05
Approx Size: 20 MB
Format: .wma
Director: Dako
Date Added: May 8, 2002
Description: There are several films
on this page. Click LES LEGOS to see the brick films. The
only one I will review here is Lego Wars, though one of the others a ways
down is kinda cool. I was not able to understand the dialog in this
film, and there is plenty of it, but I thought it was pretty hilariously
acted. There were several fun parts in this film, from the "security
camera" footage on the wall of the war room, to the APC expelling troops
to fight the witch. I'm not sure whyt the director chose to represent
the "bad guy" in this film with that particular figure, as it woudl have
been kind of cool with a real, scary bad guy. But regardless, this
is a fun one to watch, and if you understand French, let me know what
they are saying!

Title: J Park
Approx Length: 5:56
Approx Size: 9.74 MB
Format: .avi
Director: Slipstream Pictures
Date Added: March 26, 2002
Description: This movie is split
into three parts. That said, the movie is very good, but it has some shortcomings.
The voices of the main characters are hard to hear over the loud soundtrack.
Also, the film
has no backgrounds other than a rather large room where we get
to see everything. Other than that, the
movie stands on its own, using every JPIII set in the studios line.
The plot is simply another rehash of Jurassic Park, but what makes it
funny is the inclusion of the Croc Hunter instead of Dr. Alan Grant. Having
someone yell "Crikeys!" when about to be eaten is very funny indeed. There
is some nice animation-watch the plane fly away as a minifig gets on the
boat. Good soundtrack and nice animation makes this one to watch.

|
Title: The Crucible
Approx Size: 29.4 MB
Approx Length: 5:49
Format: .avi
Director: Brian of Ocap
Date Added: March 1, 2002
Description: With audio pulled
straight from Arthur Miller’s Crucible- this being the one high quality
of this piece along with the video crispness. The animation repeats itself
several times like a ruminating cow regurgitating food. The scene
is very tense, but it is hard to convey this quick pace of the dialog
with the animation here. The sets are well done but it's a bit hard
to watch this one the whole way through.

Title: Cretaceous
Camp
Approx Size: 38.6 MB
Approx Length: 8:55
Format: .mpeg
Director: Philip Heinrich
Date Added: February 11, 2002
Description: This was made with
the studios camera, and like Mr. Chisim, the film quality is very good.
The movie is a retelling / parody of Jurassic Park. Some of the scenes
you will pick right up on, such as the T-Rex screaming as the Cretaceous
Camp banner flows down - this was straight from the original. The special
effects for the motion sensors is cool, watch when the T-Rex tries to
get out. T How did Cretaceous Camp come to be? I won't give away any of
the story when I say it involves dinosaurs and boats. Two things
that could be improved: the file size and the two minutes of credits (on
a 6 minute film). |
|
Title: Sector 7
Approx Length: 16:16
Approx Size: streams
Format: streaming realplayer
Director: Robert Taylor
Description: This is a highly
enjoyable movie. Sent to Sector 7, Iceman and “the Rookie” (Kenny)
are left to uncover some secrets in the land of the Empire. Let
me say that the audio in this movie is spectacular. Every voice is done
very well, and the sound effects are in synch with everything. The
keyboard punches, R2’s backtalk, the laser sounds all nicely edited
into this film. The mouths do move while one speaks, and they move very
closely to what the person is saying. Other effects in the movie include
multiple computer screens scrolling, laser beams from both sides, and
a nice camera mounted to the land speeder scene. The effects and audio
are good, and the story is the glue that holds it all together. A well
tuned plot you will see, but there were some questions I had in the end.
(I don’t know if this is a real Star Wars story or totally made up. Reluctantly
admit-never seen them). The sounds of the forest and the surrounding plants
together make a believable scene. Another technique I’ve not seen-the roll
in the beginning right after the crash. Kenny rolls over and
takes a shot-nice animation. This movie has a lot in it, and a download
is imminent.
[Ed. - the fact that this movie fooled Jared
into thinking it was a real Star Wars story speaks highly of this film.
A definate download must.]

|
Title: Catharsis, Texas
Approx Size: 10.1 MB
Approx Length: 6:17
Format: .rm
Director: Doug James
Description: Mayhem and destruction
in a post apocalyptic world best describes this movie. The fire
fights in this movie are awesome. There's tons of special effects-guns
shooting, a missile launching,
and the flames licking at the debris-all well done. The sets
for the movie reflect the changes of time:
cars with a Mad Max feel, gun turrets and towers, people playing
drums and trumpets around a campfire. The atmosphere in the beginning
is that of loss and mourning while rebuilding and making relations takes
place. This film has a nice gritty feel to it. The war has a deeper
meaning, as the beginning and end are reflections of the past. The adrenaline
ride does not stop when Metallica does though. You'll want to watch this
movie several times when you want to pump yourself up to animate. A download
must.
[Editor's Note: This film has some graphic violence, so
be warned if that is not your cup of tea or you are easily influenced
by fake violence where toys kill each other. Please don't go shooting
down helicopters with tanks and then blaming it on Doug James.] |
|
Title: Ahead of Time
Approx Size: 9.53 MB
Approx Length: 5:14
Format: .mpg
Director: Nathan Sutherland
Description: We start out
with another thief making his entry only to be fouled up by the police.
There's nice use of red and blue lights for the cop car, and its glow
makes the scene because the thief is caught in the glare. When the thief
notices the sleeping person, there's a good shock and gasp. But shouldn't
homes have doors? You're just asking for it if you don't. |
|
Title: The Matrix in 6 Minutes
Approx Size: 28.2 MB
Approx Length: 5:40
Format: .wmv
Director: Colin Jones
Description: Taking some main
scenes from the Matrix, Colin has done a great job rendering them into
a 3D brick world. The scenes are humorous, not just clones of the original.
“Maybe I got those colors confused.” Morpheus declares in his bass voice
as he hands Brio the pill. Sounds dominate this film, from the cast of
voices to the squeaking of the floor in the fight scene, there’s not a
sound effect missing. The animation is smooth and the mouths follow the
sounds of the words. There are a couple scenes with slow-mo action effects
and these are well executed. Watch the finale, you’ll see what I mean. There’s
no escaping the fact that this is a well-done flick, we hope to see more.
With humor, good CGI animation, and a fine film to mimic-this is a movie
you can’t miss. |
|
Title: Amazone
Approx Size: 4.3 MB –
4.5 MB
Approx Length: 7:33
Format: .rm
Director: Tjeerd Kamps
Description: Since I could not
understand the words, I'm basing this review solely on animation and
scenery-which are both plentiful. The movie opens up in the cockpit where
two americans scream as the plane crashes-a nice but overly done opening
to a movie. As they die (as there is no more American speaking I assumed
the pilots died), the passengers get out and realize just what trouble
they're in. Watch the splendid animation as the dinosaur throws the man
into the air, catches him by one foot, and commences to eat him-good stuff.
Along with the violence-there is some swearing, but it's hard to make
it out with all of the dialogue going on at once. Just be careful around
the kiddies. Even without voices-you get a great sense of what is going
on. The scenery helps out a lot. They crash in a jungle and are tracked
into a native camp by a lumbering dinosaur. The natives have a very fast
talk-it's funny as they run around. With scenery-watch the part where
a minifig falls down into a shaft inhabited by a crocodile. The
fig holds onto a branch as the camera pans down into a large vertical
shaft pock-marked with vegetation. Nice use of the camera to accentuate
the depth of the chasm. With all of the humor (watch the humanburger scene)
violence, and good scenery this is a fun watch. |

Title: Milk Man Dan
Approx Size: 33 MB
Approx Length: 8:28
Format: .mpg
Director: Bryce Chu, Striped Hat
Productions
Description: This is a tale of
blood and gore, aptly named by the cast of Striped Hat. In the vein of
Andy and Dave (TE, Oh Well) comes a movie where the animation isn’t great
but the voices
excel. The blood in this movie is more like a clear goopy substance-
and there is a lot of it. Playing with humor and death, this film has
the darkest humor around. “Get back to work-Or I’ll beat you with your
own legs!” It has a nice preview-or background if you prefer, to the days
when Milk Man Dan was an agent. This comes before the FEATURE PRESENTATION.
All of this leads to a very professional end product, but the animation
is lacking |

Title: Dungeon Crawl - Part I
Approx Length: 13:04
Approx Size: 12 MB
Format: .rm (Realmovie)
Director: Jason Rowoldt
Description: This is the first
13 minutes of an epic tale of swords, theivery, and magic. This
is a major project and will be over an hour long when finished.
A tale of swords, theives, magic, and old style monster head stomping.
Formerly named Vecna's Lens - Part I (the film title this links to
may still call it that). |

Title: Xarkun 8
Approx Size: 31.4 MB
Approx Length: 5:57
Format: .avi in a .zip
Director: Joel Batterman
Description: Like many season
ending cliffhangers, Xarkun 8 leaves the fate of Luke
Skywalker and his mission hanging over an abyss. From the
briefing room video display, we see the plans of the mission drawn out
entirely with lego blocks. Not only is this cool, but it shows how so
little can explain so much. The scene where Luke is ducking behind cover
not to be seen is great. With him doubling over every second or so tis easy
to see he is out of breath, without sound effects for wheezing. A nicely
animated movie. The movie is on a fast server, so don’t let the size fool
you. |

Title: Oh Well
Approx Length: 12:16
Approx Size: 13 MB
Format: .avi
Director: Andrew Boyer and David
Lennie
Description: The first movie of
Biff and Mario. This one has both searching for the fair maiden with
green eyes. The voices in this movie are first rate and will have you laughing
right along. They easily characterize the minifigs they portray so you
know who is speaking. The animation is very choppy, but remember that this
was made around 10 years ago, so everything was very labor-intensive and
all analog. The voices and the animation alone are worth the download. Remember
to download the codec on their site if you haven’t already. |

Title: Jake Technic vs. Dr. Cyber
Approx Length: 7:02 - split
into 6 parts
Approx Size: 1 to 3.5 MB
Format: .rm
Director: Thomas Foote
Description: Jake is riding along,
minding his own business when he is captured by the evil Dr. Cyber.
Note this is one film, so the clips should be viewed sequentially.
There are five clips in all, and we see more of the story in every clip.
This short features great special effects and sound, and is worth a look
to see how technic figures can be animated much better than minifigs
because of their size and poseability. |

Title: Titanic Legos at Sea
Approx Length: 6 minutes
Approx Size: 1.6 MB
Format: .rm (Realmovie)
Director: Unknown. Anyone know?
Description: A short remake of
Titanic using LEGOS. Great
water effects. There are some interesting scenes here and it's
a great download size for a 6 minute film. |

MB (high)
Format: .mpg (download is .zip)
Director: Kevin 'Zaph' Burfitt

10 minutes of Star Wars in LEGOS. Uses the exact soundtrack so

Title: Salt Lake Spaceport
Approx Length: 13:38
Approx Size: 38.4 MB
Format: .mpg
Director: Kelly Jeffery and Russ
Gatrell
Description: A tale of love won
and lost in a Star Wars theme . . . and a well done homage to Kubrick's
Eyes Wide Shut. Great use of
The Cure in the soundtrack. I think
this is currently the longest single brick animation piece on the internet.
Most of this film is not LEGO sets but rather on location shooting in
Salt Lake City superimposed with LEGO characters. |

Title: Rick & Steve - The Happiest Gay Couple
in All the World
Approx Length: 8 min each (four
episodes)
Approx Size:
Format: .mpg, realvideo, or .mov
(streaming)
Director: Q. Allan Brocka
Description: Very racy comedy
starring gay characters. Great animation and dialog. Be
warned: very adult themes, not for children. Aside from that, some
of these jokes are hilarious. These films are up there with South
Park for subject matter. This series is more about dialog than animating
but the animation is very smooth and the best there is in this situation,
that is you don't notice it detracting from the dialog.

Title: Ministry Video

Description: Set to a Ministry

eating fans. Lots of decapitations, but everything is bloodless.
Enjoy! |

Lots of car chases in this one. As the announcer from an old
