Blue Screen Of Life
In a much more useful vein than the Blue Screen of Death (Microsloth's shitscreen), our own Wanderer of the Brickfilms community has taken it upon himself to create a FREE chroma-key program.  A very nice tool, hailed by many as a great thing and used by many who like to bump around in the forums.  BSOL!
Stop Motion Pro A very robust capture program that is of professional level.  Can be used with firewire and USB cameras.  Extremely stable and great technical support.  The program I use!

Stop Motion Animation.com This is a great site for animation in general.  It doesn't have anything on brick animation, but a lot of professional animators lurk on the forums.  A great place to either ask questions or read up on how the pros do it.  It also has a nice filmography that features films with a lot of stop-motion animation.

Bricklink If you need a specific part or minifig for a set, this is the place to go.  You may find it slightly cheaper elsewhere if you buy an entire set, but no where will you find the ability to pick and choose specific parts and order them from one source.  Used to be called Brickbay before Ebay got a burr up their ass and sent in the lawyers.
