Ahem...

This is my first post to this forum, so apologize if I make mistakes...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well, we have finished now making of our 30th animation.

In this film we tried to make the best quality we can nowadays.
Especially we focused on picture-quality and smooth animation with changing camera-angles.
Also we _tried_ to make lip-synch for speeches...

We all are huge 'Rainbow Six: Raven Shield'-PC-game-fans and so it was obvious to make a film of this game.
This film is a parody about that game's intro-movie, and that's why the whole audiotrack is from the game.

Enjoy or hate it

EDIT:
So here is very small (and ugly) version for modem users... seriously does someone still have a modem??? or under 512kb/s connection?????

Well, it would be nice to hear some comments about this film.

Have we learned anything during past 3,5 years and 30 animations????

well the quality was nice, special effects also but i found the blue gunshot things al little strange, the animation was smooth but not realy realistic overal everything was realy nice and without lightflikkers. But I thouth it would have been a real story in it because it was a film but it looks like a teaser end 14 megs for 2 minutes and 35 sec is I think for me not a problem but for the 64k modem users it will be but overal a nice brickfilm

They were first meant to be white with very small blue frames, but I carried a little bit away and decided to make different style gunshots and well,,, I like them... :D

Yes, this is a trailer - the audiotrack is from Rainbow Six 3 -PC-game intro and that is why this movie also is an intro/trailer

I added smaller version for modem users... :roll

Whell I think there are still some people that use a 64kb modem and more then you think in some country's everybody has it but not then in other country's they don't First I thought that there where no more people who used it but after a while I think I was wrong.

Overall, I liked it. The animation isn't very smooth. Such as the running. It looked like some frames were skipped. My advice, move in smaller increments.

Wow. That was freakin' awesome! I loved it! :D
The Good:

- Great voice actors. The voice-acting was totally professional. It really drew me into the plot/intro.
- Sweet special effects. The mouth-movement, rain, gunshots (I actually liked the blue effect), and the zipline were all awesome.
- Amazing cinematography. The camera movements (I think some of them were added afterwards?), lighting, and picture quality were very good.

The Bad:

-Animate at a higher framerate or, like Lech said, move in smaller increments. There were a couple of really jerky-looking parts (like the running), but all the good things I mentioned above made up for it.
-Try not to use ghost-trails. It's good and makes the animation smooth most of the time, but it kind of distracted me from the overall film....and remember: once you start animating at a higher framerate or moving in smaller increments, you probably won't even need to use ghost-trails since the animation itself will be fluid and smooth.
This is one of the coolest brickfilms (next to Lechnology's Repent) I've seen in a long time. Congrats, hovinet team :!:

I loved, I loved!

Excellent work to you and your team, hovinet.

You did a fine job with your animations, effects, and voicework. Not to mention the pans were great, an A+ in my books. Your idea to go with blue muzzle flashes was also a great touch. I like to see experimentation every once in a while than the usual.

Pretty good!
The 12(?) frames per seconed didn't bother me much because most of it was nicely animated.
I didn't like the gun shot effects much because it kind of looked more like electricity rather than a gun flash. I didn't really like the red bricks as blood either because it looked kind of wierd.

The voice acting was incredible! Did you hire a professional or something? The action got me hyped up!
NanoMan,
He took the sound from the game. Voices and all. All he did was the visual aspects.
Nice little film, I watched the small version and it looked fine.

I'd like to see more, like a movie adaptation of the game. Those are popular these days. (lol dave)

Maybe, but it still works perfectly well. Beautiful sets.

I am going to steal that blood effect you made with those transparent red 1x1 plates.

Nice lighter, by the way!

Ok, go ahead... We thought that it is nice to use legos as blood - and it is easier than to draw the blood afterwards... :wink

Lighter was my little brother's idea - but after all he is our animator.

And thanks for all for comments...

Man, that was marvelous!
Even if the animation was at a slower framerate, it still looked a lot better than what some people do at 15FPS... you could work on the running animation though, it looked a bit jerky. There were some clever animation solutions, that I liked very much (the lighter, for example). I won't comment on the audio, since you just "stole" it from Rainbow Six, but I will do on the camera work, which rocked! I believe they were digital, but they still made me impressed.
Overall, a really nice work. Gimme more!

It was good.
I never played the game or anything, though I was impressed (obviously) by the cinematography and stuff. I was rather dissapointed it ended right before anything happened though.

Goes to show that low FPS does not equal a bad film.
