This was my second film, where I upped the frame rate from 10 to 15fps, and tried to make it on a bigger scale: Bigger and more sets, more action, some effects, origanal score.
The plot is quite flimsy, but is basically about a mystery man supplying the tools the hero needs to take out the beardy bad guy...
Still some technical issues, especially with the walking cycle, but overall I was quite pleased with how this one turned out.

This Star Wars brickfilm lacks an opening text scroll. Thus, it's automatically got a leg up as far as watch-ability goes. If there's one thing that gets this Reviewer's goat, it's opening text crawls that over-explain what you're about to see. What you're about to see in 'Droidmaker' is an interesting, atmospheric film that, despite looking washed-out in places, contains good special effects and some brief, yet spunky action. The music (which is original!) has a spaced-out, trancey feel which this Reviewer is quite appreciative of, and although the walk cycles may be a tad unstable in one or two places, for the most part the animation is quick and fluid, and there are quite a few creative shots cinematography-wise. In addition, the sets are quite nice to look at. Overall, 'Droidmaker', whilst perhaps not the most spectacular of Star Wars brickfilms in a long list of Star Wars brickfilms, does hint at greater things to come from the Director. Here's to hoping his films in the future are even more creative!
