I won't give you the background into this video, as Doug explains the project very clearly on his web site. Basically, this is a music video. There is a music video level plot here, and some great shots. In fact, I have to say, this is one of Doug's best film yet (Midnight Ride might be better, but this gets the prize for visual style). The story revolves around a day in the life of a citizen of a large metropolitan, which we take from the atmosphere to be in the not too distant future. Great effects toward this end include a cool club scene, flashing lights (those who got seizures from Pokemon, beware), big video billboards, and moving droids. There is lots packed into this video, so repeated viewings is a must. The main character gets led around town by the disappearing image of a woman, whom he follows into "old city". Lots of great visuals here, including a walk down a dark stairway with a flashlight, the opening "Good Morning" computer news, and the great architecture of the underground club. All in all, Shootin Bricks releases another solid film in it's growing repertoire. A must see.
