At the end of "Batman Forever", Edward "The Riddler" Nygma is sentenced to Arkham Asylum, and is proven to be even more insane than when he became the question-marked criminal. I used this concept as a springboard for "Batman: Revenge". You will notice the Riddler (not the Joker, as stated in a review below) acting more psychotic than witty, with a greater taste for revenge, and a lesser desire to leave riddles for Batman to solve.

This film is 14 minutes long and takes an age to download if you go for the higher quality version, which is still quite a small frame size. Unfortunately, it seems to take an age to watch as well. The film has no dialogue or sound effects and relies totally on Danny Elfman's fantastic Batman score. Essentially, it is a Danny Elfman music video.

I found the film to be too dark at times, although it is clear the director was aiming for a 'dark look'. Without dialogu, the story is very confusing and at times appears to be almost random. The animation was fair, with some good moments, but there are also a lot of effectively static scenes.

Despite all of this, fans of Batman will undoubtedly enjoy this movie, as it is lifted by the music. This is an ambitious attempt to make a major Brickfilm, which, for me fails because of the lack of a compelling storyline.

EDIT: I realised I forgot to mention how much I liked the models and sets in this film. The Batmobile is impressive and, whilst I felt the cinematography wasn't that great, the sets were pretty moody and effective.

This film was quite interesting. It has some quite severe plot holes (how did Batman find the Joker's lair?) and some odd music choices (The Nightmare Before Christmas), but the music was edited together really well to fit in with the pacing of the film.

Some good cinematography in here, especially the work with shadows, but the animation is at times below the overall quality standards of the film.

It did feel a bit long to me. This story could have been told in under 5 minutes.

Delivering film via the internet is still trying to find its place right now, so please be patient when downloading a movie. Also, since many of these films are hosted on free sites (most of us are not paid to do this, after all), sometimes waiting a few minutes and coming back will resolve a downloading error. If you get a persistent error, pop into the Forum and ask away.

Keep in mind that different formats require different movie players and sometimes even encoding formats, called "codecs", to be installed on your system.

We've got a list of common codecs here on the Resources page, and links to where you can download them.
