This is the text of a short song, to which an animation had to be made. I made such an animation, and while it didn't win the contest, it was received well here at Brickfilms. If you want to know what it's all about, check out "<A href="http://www.stack.nl/~stefanvz/lego/iletaitmidi.html" target="_blank">il était midi</A>".

This is a very well made music video. The movements are timed perfectly, which is always an important factor in a music video. The cinematography is excellent, with some wonderful camera angles and good lighting. The animation is very smooth and well done, especially considering the large size of the main figure that was animated. The story told in the song is well portrayed in the video, as well. All in all a great little short that shouldn't be missed.

An excellent short music clip that is a showcase of true animation talent. I was very impressed with all aspects of animation of the mouse. Mostly because of the size. It isn't like a little mini-fig that had a nice amount of friction at the joints so that arms hold up etc, it is a BIG model. There were a number of moving elements and they had to move independently, without other bits being bumped.

I like the use of the shadow of the mouse on the wall, and thr lighting was excellent; darker inside the hole, lighter outside, but ALWAYS consistent.

The mouth and tongue construction, as well as the timing of the tongue movement at the syllable level, is just amazing.

If I were to pick at anything it would be that the mouse (position of ears, overalls, etc) reminded me too much of mickey mouse. And even if it wasn't intentional, the echoes of contemporary culture ring loudly with 'that mouse'.

All in all, an excellent short.

Delivering film via the internet is still trying to find its place right now, so please be patient when downloading a movie. Also, since many of these films are hosted on free sites (most of us are not paid to do this, after all), sometimes waiting a few minutes and coming back will resolve a downloading error. If you get a persistent error, pop into the Forum and ask away.

Keep in mind that different formats require different movie players and sometimes even encoding formats, called "codecs", to be installed on your system.

We've got a list of common codecs here on the Resources page, and links to where you can download them.
