Created for my senior project, this is a short film about a hit man who discovers the beauty in life. Set to Coldplay's Don't Panic, I think this turned out quite well. I experimented as I could, and did my best to give it that cinematic feel, which I oh so love in brickfilms. The blurriness is something I'm ashamed of, but I've moved on and can't be bothered trying to reshoot any of the really blurry shots.

Just a note: There is no sound for the first 20 seconds, so don't crank up the volume and blow your ears off.

Another note: This is slightly different than what I posted in the forums two months ago.

This film is part of the Staff's Favorites collection of Ladon, Watson and MindGame.
Ladon wrote:

From the very beginning of this film, you can see that there is something that separates it from the rest of the similarly oriented films avaliable for viewing. With the introduction of the main overture [the chillingly powerful Don't Panic by Coldplay], a shiver quickly crept up my spine as I was overwhelmed with emotion.
Cinematographically, this film is definitely not lacking. From the introduction of the main character to the very end, the camera shows you exactly what you need to see to understand the story, and does it in realistic color.
The animation is perfect, even though you might be able to spot a few flaws if thats all you're watching it for. All of the camera movement is deadly accurate, making you believe for a second or two that it might have been done digitally.
I realise how soppy this all sounds, but this is one of my truly favorite films that I force people to watch whenever I get a chance. The picture may be blurry, but it only adds (even if un-intentionally) to the environment created by the director.
One for the collection, I can guarantee it.

It made me laugh, which is nice.

Cognizance is a gleaming gem on this site, and is, in my mind, required viewing for anyone interested in our little plastic world.

Cometgreen's voiceless vision may be showing some age, but it's woven carefully with undeniable heart and vision. This, in my opinion, is a brickfilm different from any brickfilm we have on our site. Its atmosphere and its mood feel unique to itself and itself alone.

In one sense that's unfortunate, but, really, we should be nothing but appreciative that we have it all.

Delivering film via the internet is still trying to find its place right now, so please be patient when downloading a movie. Also, since many of these films are hosted on free sites (most of us are not paid to do this, after all), sometimes waiting a few minutes and coming back will resolve a downloading error. If you get a persistent error, pop into the Forum and ask away.

Keep in mind that different formats require different movie players and sometimes even encoding formats, called "codecs", to be installed on your system.

We've got a list of common codecs here on the Resources page, and links to where you can download them.
