I think I disagree with the director about this movie being funny. It starts off promising with some slapstick, but then several story lines are introduced which are not explored any further (one of the guys not wanting to go, the wizard).
Sets are absolutely minimal - it doesn't seem as if the director spent much time on them.
The director didn't even find time to correct spelling errors in the title screens, which adds to the feeling that only the slightest effort was made to get it done.
If this director shows some more drive for his next movie, it could be quite good.
