Normally Ladon's films are, at the very least, very stylish. However, "Apprentice" is not a normal Ladonite film. The lack of sound and the use of old-fashioned subtitles in a film that really doesn't seem to call for that type of presentation (especially when considering the relatively crisp picture quality) soon grated on my patience. The animation is fairly well done, and as mentioned before, the picture quality is above average. That said; this film is considerably less than Ladon's other films, the story is not creative, and presentation is not stylish. Ultimately though, if one disregards Ladon's other works, "Apprentice" is a decent film in most aspects.
