This retelling of the story of Don Quixote in LEGO is a decent film hampered by a low framerate, repeated footage, excess dialogue and an obscenely large file size. The film has subtitles, and there are a lot of them, for it seems this film is a visual retelling of chapter 21 word-for-word. There is constantly a monologue, either from the characters or from a narrator. This begins to become tiring after the first few minutes, and by the time the film is complete I was unfortunately relieved it was finally over.
This is a pity, since this film also has some very good points. The camera quality is very good, and allows the viewer to really enjoy the sets and models, especially the brick-built horse and donkey. There is even a well-constructed miniature village featured. It is obvious the director's skill lies in model building, while his animation skills have room to be improved.
If you want to see some great animal models, bite the bullet and download this film. You might want to be prepared to fast-forward through the long expances of dull dialogue, however.
