Usually, when we think of Batman, black suits, nice cars, latex-hot black buttocks, dark themes and cities come into mind. If you're looking for those characteristically Batman elements, "Batman: Faces of Evil" will really entertain you. Essentially, what really brought the Batman universe alive in this film is the brilliantly well crafted sets and cinematography. The animator clearly has put a lot of work into creating a highly accurate and excellent set design, making the film more believable and engaging. While the overuse of live action and abundance of somewhat poor animation bothered me, I was more intrigued by the exciting action sequences and little moves the little bugger could do. My main concern about this film was the truly awful voice acting and at times, predictable and idiotic dialogue (ie. "I will call that purrrfect!").
Overall, "Batman: Faces of Evil" is a worthy addition to the directory and a genuinely amazing debut effort.
