24 - In Lego is based on the hit Fox show "24." I have used the characters, settings, music and style of the show to create this short. "24" is famous for it's split-screen action and real-time settings, and I have tried to recreate everything you see in the show with lego. Although the film is 9 minutes long, it represents an hour. Everything you see is in real-time, although there are gaps of up to 20 minutes between the parts of the film (you'll see what I mean when you watch it.)

The story is original, and was written by me and Dad. It is supposed to look like it the start of a whole season of episodes, although it stands as a story on it's own.

The most important thing to mention in this review is that this film gets the tension and excitement of the original series well done. The music, the shaking-camera-effect, the many plot twists etc. combined together create a suspenseful brickfilm where time keeps flying by.

The story - which is very important to this kind of film - itsself has many issues. To name an example: It favours an inane shootout before a logical approach, just to implement some action. The plot is not bad, but it has so many holes that you probably won't want to rewatch it. See the discussion links for more info and opinions.

Nevertheless, technically it's well done, quite enjoyable and will probably keep your attention throughout. I advise you to check it out, and hope for the director to make a sequel (which could tie up some lose ends and do the trick)!

Delivering film via the internet is still trying to find its place right now, so please be patient when downloading a movie. Also, since many of these films are hosted on free sites (most of us are not paid to do this, after all), sometimes waiting a few minutes and coming back will resolve a downloading error. If you get a persistent error, pop into the Forum and ask away.

Keep in mind that different formats require different movie players and sometimes even encoding formats, called "codecs", to be installed on your system.

We've got a list of common codecs here on the Resources page, and links to where you can download them.
