Possibly the best film noir brickfilm to date, Night of the Tater is an excellent film. The highlight might be the original score, which really adds to the film. The lighting and effects are interesting, and true to the genre. Watch this film.
I thoroughly enjoyed this film, and I easily think it's Night Owl's best to day. The black and white looks very good, and compliments the dark, Gothic sets and creative lighting. The cutout titles are an oldstyle and unique feel to the film.
Smeagol excels at narration, and effectively propels the simple story. The music is also very nice. I think my favorite shot is when all the windows are suddenly shut. I only wish we could see more the of the Tater itself.
You have no excuse not to see Night of the Tater.
