Do you have the drive to survive?
In a world where vehicles are banned, a man decides to become an outlaw and flees the city on his home-built motorcycle. But does the world beyond truly offer the freedom he desires?

This was my entry in the 2007 Nadine and Charlie Music Video Contest, a music video featuring the song Something Wicked This Way Comes. Nadine and Charlie were so pleased with it's technical quality that they very generously decided to award it a special duel first place prize, alongside Captain Bulldog's Lonesome Heroes. We both won 200 British pounds, or $400 American dollars.
As Charlie said: "Lonesome Heroes by Capt Bulldog is the winner and Driven, is awarded a special prize for technical brilliance. This is not an empty award as we’ve added more to the prize pool to mark this, so prize money for both these films will be the same. We agonised long and hard about a joint first award but that would be a cop out. Its taken us all week to decide. In the end there was less than a goofy plastacine bird in it. CaptBulldog won by the merest scintilla. Congratulations and huge commiserations to One Brick, it was incredible close."

I would like to deeply thank Lechnology for his excellent work on the special effects in this film. He downloaded a crapload of files, and worked all hours of day and night to make this film the best he could. Without him, this project certainly would not be as good.
It's stated in the credits, but I would also like to thank every brickfilms.com member who helped me work on shots, lighting, animation, additional effects and cinematography, plus of course ongoing encouragement, especially Zach "MindGame" Macias, Lewis "Lechnology" Chen, Brendan "Krick Films" Krick, Brendan "Ladon" Henry and Nick "Nick Durron" Durron.
I also would like to thank Nadine and Charlie, and also Josh "RevMen" Leasure for hosting a great contest. I've had a blast, and I've learned a lot. |

This another excellent project by Nathan. The Nadine and Charlie films are slightly restricted by the fact that the Directors can't put any audio themselves, but the results in this video are amazing.
Thoroughly enjoyable, highly recommended.
Though not without its flaws, Driven is a gorgeous film to look at. Above average animation topped-off by stunning cinematography and brilliant set design make for an amazing viewing experience (not to mention Lechnology's great visual effects). The story is pretty understandable, perhaps made better with a little explanation, but is by no means the highlight of the film. Even if you're not turned onto this film by its story, it deserves to be seen solely on its amazing technical prowess. A highly recommended watch.
