Much like "Hot Dogs," another entry for the Sports in Brickfilming Contest, The Street Race is focused only on the sport it portrays, and as such there is almost no story to speak of. However, it does a very good job at showing street racing in action. The director has attempted a number of ambitious shots, and while they don't all succeed, the film is certainly more enjoyable as a result. If you liked the previously mentioned first place winning film in SIBC, then you'll probably enjoy this as well.
The Street Race is an appropriate title as the movie only covers a street race. The director attempted multiple kinds of shots, some worked better then others. There wasn't a whole lot of variation in the sound effects. Overall these are minor flaws in a good short movie.
