This is the official animation for FIRST Lego League's 2007-2008 game: Power Puzzle.


This is the second film that Jinkiats Productions has created for the FIRST community.

Due to the increasing internationality of the FLL program, FIRST requested that we not have dialog in the video. That request is what formed into the "Silent Film" idea for this video.

We have a ton of fun with this video, from concept to creation - few regrets.

This film took approximately 400 man-hours and 7,500 shots.

It is always nice to see another production for the First Lego League (FLL) competition and how animation can be used as an instructional tool. This year's version is well done as well in a silent film style due to the request as noted by the director. One has to appreciate the challenge of animating on a flat smooth surface and some of the larger set areas used.
Since this is basically an instructional video there is really no plot or story line but the processes involved in the robotics competition are presented quite well. My only complaint is how the “old film” effect frame jitters distract from the viewing pleasure.

Delivering film via the internet is still trying to find its place right now, so please be patient when downloading a movie.
