STAR WARS: Flaws of the Sith

This is my entry to the Star Wars Fan Movie Challenge hosted by AtomFilms.com. The contest finalists will be judged by George Lucas himself. The idea for this movie came to me shortly after I saw Smeagol's series of Star Wars parody brickfilms. I kept thinking of something from Star Wars that I could make funny and this idea hit me. Making this film taught me a lot about audio editing, bluescreening, matching the foreground lighting to the background lighting, and audio-movement synching. I hope it's as fun to watch for you as it was for me to make.

So, without further delay, I give you STAR WARS: Flaws of the Sith.

The mod element for THAC4 was the letter P and a red LEGO piece touching a green LEGO piece. See if you can spot all of the mod elements! Hint: The P mod element is used only once.

This was my second film, where I upped the frame rate from 10 to 15fps, and tried to make it on a bigger scale: Bigger and more sets, more action, some effects, origanal score.

The plot is quite flimsy, but is basically about a mystery man supplying the tools the hero needs to take out the beardy bad guy...

Still some technical issues, especially with the walking cycle, but overall I was quite pleased with how this one turned out.

Dr. Case & Nina in: Power Puzzle. FLL animation 07-08

This is the official animation for FIRST Lego League's 2007-2008 game: Power Puzzle.

This is the second film that Jinkiats Productions has created for the FIRST community.

Due to the increasing internationality of the FLL program, FIRST requested that we not have dialog in the video. That request is what formed into the "Silent Film" idea for this video.

We have a ton of fun with this video, from concept to creation - few regrets.

This film took approximately 400 man-hours and 7,500 shots.

Well after a several year absence from filming making I’m back with my new film "Mass Media in a Changing World". Based on a lot of ideas that I’ve been working on for a while, mass media in a changing world tells the story of a young man who finds himself consumed in world of fear produced by the media. The entire project was completed in about a week and a half using the following software: Premier Pro 2.0, After Effects 6.5, Photoshop CS and Animator DV Simple. I'm very proud of this film, and easily think its my best ever, I’m really looking forward to hearing what you all think of it.
Thank you & Enjoy!

UPDATE 4-9-08: I won first prize in the Kent State University Black Squirrel Flix Fest, beating out 17 other films, I won a copy of Avid Media Composer!

Abduction 2 is my third-place winning entry to the THAC 4 Competition. When the results were announced, I was quite surprised at how well it did.

This film is the sequel to my THAC 3 entry, Abduction. It more or less continues with the same story, while introducing a new element to the plot. I hope to continue the Abduction series in future THACs.
